Everyone’s crushing it on LinkedIn.
Record days, weeks & months.
I’m guilty of this too.
(July will be the 3rd record-setting month in a row for our Midas business)
But this isn’t an accurate representation of running a business.
There are highs & lows.
Two of my shops have made a YTD combined net profit of a whopping $10,000
…. on nearly $1M of sales, a 1% net margin:
Why am I sharing this?
Because if you’re struggling with your business, you’re not alone.
Every successful owner has months (or years) that look like this.
The difference between those who quit and those who scale isn’t avoiding problems.
It’s getting back to fundamentals when problems hit.
People + Process = Profit
That’s it.
When profit disappears, one of these two things breaks down:
People: Do you have the right team? Enough people? Are they trained properly?
Process: Are you following proven systems every time? Or cutting corners when busy?
We have a saying, “there are no bad stores, just bad leaders.”
Wrong managers. Inconsistent processes. No accountability.
Fix people and process, profit follows.
It’s not glamorous. It’s not LinkedIn-worthy.
But it works.
Don’t get discouraged by everyone else’s highlight reel.
Focus on your fundamentals.
Cheers!
Brian
