Most business owners are drowning in ideas.
- What if we changed our pricing structure?
- We should try this marketing approach?
- Let’s launch this new service
But talk to them 6 months later, and nothing’s changed.
Welcome to the Good Idea Graveyard.
The problem isn’t a lack of vision.
It’s a lack of follow-through.
I see this pattern constantly:
- Someone suggests a great idea
- Everyone nods enthusiastically
- Nobody takes ownership
- Nobody sets a deadline
- Zero accountability
And the idea quietly dies on the vine.
Here’s why this kills business growth:
Success requires a bias for action.
Not sitting around waiting for the perfect moment.
I had a “great idea” to launch a towing business 80 days ago.
Since then, we purchased a truck, did all the paperwork, hired a driver, built a website, and launched Google ads.
If it wasn’t for the government red tape, I would’ve launched a month sooner!
In the last 10 days we generated $10k of revenue between towing & repairs.
I’m purchasing a second truck by the end of the month.
Many people are smarter than I, who can research & write intricate business plans, create complex financial pro-formas, talk a big game, and wear fancy suits.
But at the end of the day, none of that matters. All that matters is taking action to execute an idea.
Reducing the time from idea to execution is everything.
Having a massive sense of urgency to get shit done.
This is why I love franchising.
You can make millions if you are focused & relentless.
Cheers!
Brian
P.S. Want my help improving your execution? I run a small group coaching call every week for driven franchisees. We’ll dive into your current business to identify what’s working & what needs improvement.
I’ll challenge you to take action and report back next week.
I’ve only got 6 spots remaining in May.
The next call is this Monday, May 19th at 4pm EST.
Respond here if you want in.
