Yesterday we got the keys to store 35.
Souderton, PA
We gave ourselves a deadline of opening as Midas on Monday June 30th.
9 days from today
This would be no small feat.
The all-hands sprint:
- Signage takes 6-8 weeks (redirecting signs from store 34)
- Painting mustard yellow to Midas red and yellow
- Demo the waiting room – new flooring, paint, check-in counters
- Power wash and paint shop walls
- Install computers with software and credit card processing
- Train new employees at existing stores
- Beg township for U&O appointment Friday
- Deliver tire, oil, and filter inventory
Why the insane urgency?
July/August/September are our best months.
We want to capture as much revenue as possible during peak season.
Our aggressive targets:
- July: $75K
- August: $90K
- September: $100K+
At those volumes, weβd recoup our investment very quickly.
Every week of delay costs us thousands in lost revenue.
Weβve learned to compress timelines by running parallel processes instead of sequential ones.
Order equipment while negotiating leases.
Hire & train staff as soon as we have a lease signed. Prepare marketing before you open.
Weβve created an extensive βnew store onboarding checklistβ that gets updated after every new store
Highly recommend
Cheers!
