Of the 36 auto repair franchises I own, only one went through a business broker.
Why?
Because Franchisees don’t want to sell to outsiders.
They want to sell to other owners who understand the business, can close quickly, and won’t waste their time
When you join a franchise system, you become part of a private club where the best deals never hit the market.
The acquisition process works like this:
1/ Build relationships
2/ Establish your reputation
3/ Let them know you want to buy
It doesn’t matter if you have 1 location or 100. You’re either in the club or you’re not.
This works best in industries with a large gap between top & bottom performers.
Auto repair is a hard business.
If it were easy, everyone would be making lots of money while they sip mojitos on the beach.
But once you master it, there’s no limit on what you can build.
It’s the same for home services, fast food, senior care, restoration and more.
Cheers!
Brian
P.S. Quick question:
What’s holding you back from copying this strategy?
Finding your first deal or finding sellers inside your franchise?
