It’s the perfect story of what separates amateurs from professionals
Amateurs get stuck in the setback.
They stew on what happened, why it happened, and who’s to blame
They miss the next shot because it’s still on their mind and the cycle continues
But the pros?
It’s like it never happened.
Their speed of recovery is instantaneous.
The same thing happens in business.
We all face setbacks like losing a key employee, a deal falling through, a terrible sales week, or a cash crunch.
Amateurs start crying about it
“It’s Trumps fault with the tariffs!”
“Nobody wants to work these days!”
“Nobody has any money!”
What do the pros do?
It’s like it never happened.
They post an Indeed ad, follow up with three more deal opportunities, and then return to executing their playbook.
They stay positive and don’t blame anyone else.
They are the Victor, not the Victim.
The good news is that anyone can turn pro. I was an amateur when I started my business in 2016
I made all the mistakes. Misery loves company, right?
Eventually, you realize that being a victim doesn’t serve you. Nobody gets rich stewing on problems.
You get rich by being a professional, by recovering quickly and moving on.
By not letting ANYTHING bring you down.
Just remember: speed of recovery is what separates the amateur from the pros.
