The $16,328 question

Every franchise owner needs to know this number:

“How much do I need to sell each week just to break even?”

It’s the most important metric when you launch a new location

But knowing the number is only half the battle.

The real challenge: Do you have a solid plan to hit it?

What staffing do you need? Training? Marketing? Process?

Too many owners cross their fingers, hoping for the best.

Then the bank balance ticks down every week

Panic sets in.

You scramble to hire more people or fire existing ones.

You change marketing spend randomly.

You second-guess every process.

You get into a rut.

If you don’t fix it, the new location becomes more than just a financial drain.

It becomes an energy drain. A time drain.

You start thinking you should never have grown at all.

You kill all future growth as you lick your wounds.

Sound familiar? I’ve been here.

Here’s how to avoid it

Know EXACTLY how much sales you need to break-even

Get every team member to tattoo that number to their forehead.

Work like hell to crush it.

For my store #35 it’s $16,328

The last 2 weeks we did $20,450 and $17,700 so we’re good.

I apply the same exact methodology when expanding into a new market or brand like Waterloo Turf.

What’s your number?

Want help figuring it out?

It’s actually a very simple process.

In today’s Cash Flow Club email (sending at 12pm EST) I’m walking through a 10-minute video going over my exact process

I’ve also included a copy of my “break even” spreadsheet.
