Business Model
Voda has two core services: carpet cleaning + restoration.
Carpet cleaning provides consistent, predictable revenue that you can start getting immediately. You get paid for these jobs at the time of service.
Restoration (water, mold, fire remediation) jobs are higher tickets but less predictable. Since they are usually paid for by insurance, which takes 45-60 days.
Both services use the same water-extraction equipment & labor. This dilutes your fixed costs & increases your margins.
Earnings Potential
In the 2024 FDD Item 19 they provide a detailed P&L and mix of business for the founding location in Northern VA/DC market.
Over the last 3 years, the founding location sales have grown from $1.47M to $2.40M while increasing the net margin from 19% to 26%. In 2023 “Adjusted EBITDA” was over $645k, which included paying an $94k salary to the “Director of Operations”

In the Item 19 they also provide a sales mix & average job size. They had almost a 50/50 mix between floor cleaning & restoration.
The average ticket of restoration was $3,800 vs. $584 for floor cleaning.
Start-Up Costs
The initial estimated investment is $176k to $257k for one territory of 85k owner-occupied homes. That includes the franchise fee, the van, tools, equipment, grand-opening marketing, working capital, & more.
They offer a discounted franchise fee on additional territories purchased upfront. They are SBA-approved, which means you only need ~30% down for roughly $75k.
This can be a home-based business to start while you build the sales. Eventually, you’ll need a small warehouse space.
