Our founder – an LA native who used to work in tech venture capital – started MaidThis as a side hustle while working full-time because he saw a huge untapped business opportunity in an often-overlooked market. While some people were spending an exorbitant amount of money jumping into the crowded startup world, he saw a chance to bring the marketing and technological disruption of startups into the old-fashioned, nevertheless extremely profitable residential cleaning market. The growing short-term rental market of Airbnbs presented a huge, untapped growth opportunity as well, as no other companies were specializing in this new industry. Realizing that this business model could in fact be run completely remotely, our founder eventually quit his job in venture capital and took MaidThis full-time in 2015, and traveled the world for 5 years and 30 countries while scaling the company. MaidThis is now opening franchises around the US and looking for people that want location and financial freedom
